We are excited to welcome Wilco as the headliner for our ninth biennial CA Concert.
Hailing from Chicago, Wilco has been celebrated as "one of the greatest American rock bands performing today," according to CBS Sunday Morning. Led by prolific songwriter Jeff Tweedy–whom Rolling Stone has placed among the "true songwriters," like Bob Dylan, for his "great lyrics, great melody, great emotion"–the band has spent decades evolving its sound, which deftly blends alternative rock, Americana, and experimental textures.
As a longtime fan of the band, CA Head of School Dr. Mike Davis is thrilled to host Wilco on campus. To help the community dive into their distinctive sound, he created a Spotify playlist of the songs performed at their last Denver concert.
More about Wilco:
Jeff Tweedy was recently featured in a fantastic profile on CBS Sunday Morning (February 2026). In a sit-down interview at his Chicago studio, Jeff discussed the power of music as a "strategy for survival" and the inspiration behind his massive 30-track album, Twilight Override. It’s a great way to get to know the artist behind the music before he hits the stage at Colorado Academy.
Want to learn more about the band's history? We recommend watching I Am Trying to Break Your Heart: A Film About Wilco. This acclaimed black-and-white documentary follows the band through the creation and distribution of their landmark fourth album, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. |
