'Memories in the Making' is held in the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse at the Broncos Training Center at 13403 Broncos Parkway, Englewood, CO 80112.
The event kicks off Saturday, June 8th at 6:00pm with cocktails, dinner, and silent auction items until 8pm where former Bronco, Reggie Rivers, will begin the live auction.
Valet Parking will be available as well as a Lyft code for cab service.
For those with Alzheimer's, the world has grown confusing, overwhelming, and maybe even a little frightening. Alzheimer’s Association Memories in the Making® (MIM) is an art program for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias that brings comfort and joy through the process of creating watercolors. Even after people with dementia have lost the ability to use words, they are often able to express thoughts and emotions and to share memories through painting with watercolors. The experience offers an opportunity for the essence of who they are and what they care about to shine through.
Beautiful artwork is created by those with memory impairment at over one hundred Memories in the Making host sites statewide. A jury of professional artists selects the artwork for an art auction in Denver. It is then professionally framed for display at annual Memories in the Making Art Shows and Auctions.
