The mission of the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center (CTRC) is to change the lives of people with disabilities by promoting their physical, psychological, and social well being through equine assisted activities.
CTRC started in a park with three riders, a handful of volunteers, and a few borrowed horses. Now, thanks to the unyielding commitment, vision, and unwavering support of many wonderful supporters, CTRC has a PATH premiere accredited facility, a herd of 25 equine therapists, 14 dedicated staff, and an awe-inspiring 1,000 member volunteer workforce. We deliver exceptional equine-assisted activities and therapy services to over 500 riders with special needs from over nine counties each year.
