Event Information

Our annual Gear Up! Fundraiser supports Bicycle Colorado's vision of a safe and accessible Colorado for everyone who rides a bike. We've been advocating for people on bikes for over 30 years.

On June 3, our in-person Gear Up! event—the best bike party in town—will celebrate all of the benefits that bicycling brings to Colorado, and support Bicycle Colorado's continued efforts to make it easier and safer for everyone in the state to access those benefits. The party will include a live auction full of items bicyclists will be sure to love, and guests will be treated to drinks, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a sit-down dessert.

We're also launching our Gear Up! online auction a week ahead of the party, with even more items available for anyone to bid on. You don't have to register for the in-person party to bid online—see the ticketing page for the online auction-only ticket option. We encourage online auction participants to make an additional donation to support our continued bike advocacy.

What to Wear

Think "fun and festive!" This is a great chance to get out of your Lycra and have a fun Tuesday night out, but don't feel that you need to dress to the nines.

Food and Drink

Enjoy a variety of hors d'oeuvres, complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks, and dessert.

Arriving at the Event

We suggest using Google Maps to find directions to the Joy Burns Center using a mode of your choice. Doors for Gear Up! will be open at 6 p.m.

Bike Parking

The Joy Burns Center is just blocks from several popular biking routes with additional nearby connections to protected bike lanes that can get you anywhere you need to go in the city.

If you ride your bike to the event, there will be outdoor racks to store your bike, and the area will be staffed all evening. You will still want to bring a secure lock for your bike in case the racks fill up.

Parking

Parking for event guests is available for a $10 fee at the Evans Parking Structure located at the southeast corner of Evans Avenue and High Street, with entrances off High Street and eastbound Evans Avenue. A parking attendant will be on duty to direct guests. Please follow the signage from the southeast corner of the parking structure to the Joy Burns Center. 2130 S High St, Denver, CO 80210. Metered street parking in the area is also available.
