About A Little Help
A Little Help is a nonprofit organization established in 2005 by a group of Washington Park neighbors who came together to assist older adults in aging well at home. Today, A Little Help provides connection, support, and a sense of independence for 3,000 older adults in neighborhoods across Colorado each year. With your support, we are reshaping what it means to age in Colorado.
This year, we’re proud to celebrate Stronger Together: 20 Years of Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a milestone made possible because of community members like you.
A Little Help mobilizes up to 5,000 dedicated volunteers to provide essential services, such as free transportation to doctors’ appointments, grocery shopping, and yard work – all while forging meaningful connections. This innovative model delivers an estimated annual impact of $30M and positions A Little Help as one of the most effective and compassionate solutions for housing and social services in our state.
At the root of every service is a meaningful connection that helps combat isolation and shows our older neighbors how much their community cares.
We rely on support from neighbors like you to bridge the gap between the pay-what-you-can contributions and the foundation and government grants we receive. With your contribution to this event, we can expand into new neighborhoods and recruit and engage more volunteers, realizing our vision of creating strong, united, intergenerational communities.
"A Little Help has been wonderful for me as a widow and not having family here...A Little Help helps us seniors stay in our homes. Our homes are a sanctuary and a safe place for us as we age".
