Other ways to support us:

Southern Colorado Health Network cordially invites you to join us for the Red Ribbon Ball on April 18th, 2025. For one night only, we'll surprise and delight you with contortionists, aerial performances, and top-notch drag entertainment at our signature event of the year. Featuring a decadent dinner, silent and live auctions, and mission moments that will tug at your heartstrings, this will be an evening to remember--and one you won't want to miss.

Red Ribbon Ball has been a fixture of the Colorado Springs fundraising circuit for more than three decades. Here, Southern Coloradans gather to elevate and celebrate the work of Southern Colorado Health Network, raising critical funds to support the programs and services people living with HIV throughout the Pikes Peak region depend on.

As we look forward to SCHN's 40th anniversary in 2026, we reflect on the very first Red Ribbon Ball, a black-tie affair held at the Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort. That event, attended by 40 friends, family, and supporters, has since become a gala regularly attended by more than 200.

Red Ribbon Ball has a reputation for unique, splashy themes. This year’s event, “Welcome to the Big Top,” continues the magical, meaningful tradition of pairing philanthropy and fun to make a big impact on the lives of the people we serve.

Over the years, numerous dignitaries and celebrities have spoken at the event. They include Joycelyn Elders, former U.S. Surgeon General; Billy Bean, the first baseball player to come out as gay, and who sadly lost his partner to AIDS in 1995; Olympian Greg Louganis, the first diver to sweep the Olympic diving event; and Cleve Jones, founder of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. Numerous other leaders and experts have since lent their voices in support of clients in the Pikes Peak region.

In addition to renowned speakers, past events have featured a Disco band, a performance by Hazel Miller, Colorado’s distinguished 'Queen of Jazz', and amazing demonstrations of live speed-painting, among others.

This much is clear--at Red Ribbon Ball, you'll create much more than lifelong memories. You'll make a lifelong impact on the lives of the people we serve.
