Havern School is a school, like no other, for students with learning disabilities. Our students, who range in age from 5 to 14 years and have a diagnosed learning disability, are offered a 4:1 student-to-staff ratio, master teachers, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists and psychologists who work together to provide a comprehensive program of daily intervention services.

Since 1966, Havern has provided a caring, vibrant community where bright children with learning disabilities can reach their full academic potential. Our 13-acre hilltop campus serves an average of 85 students every year who experience challenges such as ADHD, expressive and receptive languages, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyslexia, executive function, processing speed, visual skills, gross and fine motor sensory processing disorder and working memory. Some Havern students have a medical diagnosis or syndrome that includes learning disability features.

One hundred percent of our lead teachers and therapists hold advanced degrees and 100 percent of our students, who come from more than 48 zip codes, receive research-based instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and fine arts. In addition, we offer digital learning, drama, art, music and social skills instruction. For the past several years, Havern boasts a 100 percent high school graduation rate for its students, compared to an average of 77.3 percent of all students across the state of Colorado. We are a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS).
