This 200+ acre ranch adjoins Stagecoach State Park and Reservoir 17 miles south of Steamboat Springs and it has easy access to the Sarvis Creek and Flat Tops Wilderness areas. There is great road and gravel biking right from the ranch as well. Access to Stagecoach State Park and Reservoir for additional biking and use of their 2-man kayak and 2 SUPS. There is a complete Marina there to rent all sorts of watercraft. All these activities are reserved just for your visit! Ideally suited to a family of 4, or two close couples. Up to two nights at our yurt on the pond, ¾ of a channel mile of the Yampa river on the ranch, fly fishing, bird watching, beaver dam and pond, 7 miles of professionally built mountain biking, and hiking trails, fold of purebred, Scottish highland cattle – Calfs, Cows, Bulls, weanlings and yearlings - great for brushing, cuddling and photography, and a Highland burger cookout and bonfire!
The Glas Deffryn Ranch Experience Day can be tailored to your interests and time availability. It would be best thru mid-November 2025 or late May thru June 2026, but scheduling is flexible. Of course, you have access to all that Steamboat Springs has to offer nearby as well, including a $50 gift card to Yampa Kitchen. This is a chance to explore the smaller local communities and restaurants in Oak Creek and Yampa. This is a small working ranch, not a dude ranch. This experience is only offered occasionally to selected non-profits we are involved with – we are charter members of Bicycle Colorado.
